Renovation of the foyer from 2 March 2026 – Information for your museum visit
From 2 March 2026, the foyer of the Frankfurt Archaeological Museum will be undergoing renovation. The work is intended to improve the visitor infrastructure and is expected to take several weeks.
During the renovation phase, there may be restrictions on museum operations. Some areas will be temporarily restricted, and there may be minor disruptions due to construction work.
Access for cars via Karmelitergasse will also be temporarily restricted during the renovation.
The museum will remain open throughout the renovation work. We will endeavour to keep disruptions to a minimum and thank you for your understanding.
